OpenAI has announced that it will double the usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium plans, as well as keeping Dots usage independent. This decision was made following customer feedback regarding a previously planned reduction in usage limits. Tibo, who is the face of ChatGPT and Codex on X, announced these changes on X. OpenAI also confirmed that the changes will take effect immediately and primarily affect ChatGPT Work and Codex, which share usage allowances under eligible subscriptions. OpenAI has also continued to offer extended usage limits for Dots, its always-on AI assistants. These changes give Pro subscribers more room to use Work and Codex without paying for a more expensive subscription. OpenAI has not provided exact numerical usage limits for each tier, but the changes give Pro subscribers more flexibility in their usage. In a separate announcement, OpenAI has also launched GPT-6.1 Terra with 3x faster AI agents and 50% lower pricing. OpenAI is also preparing a $500 ChatGPT Pro Max plan with faster Codex. OpenAI has also acknowledged that its AI agents have accidentally uploaded user-provided images to third-party sites, and has taken steps to address this issue. OpenAI has also stated that its AI agents can find zero-days, but are also harder to monitor. OpenAI has also urged Entra ID admins to migrate users to passkeys, warned of SSH flaws allowing root privilege escalation, and warned of hackers exploiting critical Node2Shell flaw. These are just some of the recent developments in the world of AI and cybersecurity.
