The iPhone Duo 2, with its innovative foldable design, has garnered attention for its multiple cameras. However, the under-display camera has been a point of contention. After a week of use, I found the under-display camera to be underwhelming compared to the rear-facing cameras. The camera's performance is notably inferior, as Apple does not provide detailed specs for this particular lens. The camera's nondescript designation as a FaceTime camera further adds to the confusion and disappointment. The under-display camera's presence is particularly noticeable, making it less useful for selfies. In contrast, Samsung's under-display cameras on the Galaxy Z Fold series have been praised for their effectiveness. Future iterations of the iPhone Duo 2 should consider alternatives to the under-display camera, such as integrating the main rear-facing cameras or using the cover display for camera functionality. These changes could significantly improve the user experience and address the current shortcomings of the under-display camera.
